Hey, I’m Kori! I hope you’re as excited as I am to start designing your dream home! I’ve adored interior design since I was young and actually rearranged furniture in my bedroom for fun. My new layout would feel so good that I’d drag my mom and dad to see it!
Fast forward to my career as a physical therapist, I found myself intrigued by how my clients decorated and lived in their homes.
I wanted to be a part of transforming a family’s home into something beautiful and functional, all while fostering relationships with clients like I did as a PT. So, back to college I went! I received a degree from an Interior Design program and opened the doors of Horizon Interior Design in 2016.
I like to think of myself as an “interior design intuitive,” drawing on the five senses to create the perfect ambiance for each space. That’s why I always ask my clients, “how do you want to feel in this room?” as your answer truly drives the final design. Your home can have a profound impact not only on the ease of your daily life but on your emotions, which is why I work not just on improving function and style, but on enhancing your mood, too.
I live in Rochester with my husband and two sons. We have three cats, two of which are sisters, and two chickens! My favorite hobby in the world is dancing! Club, ballroom, Latin, you name it! I take advantage of all that metro Detroit offers and actively enjoy biking, hiking, boating, and going to sporting events, concerts, and local fairs.
When it comes to designing your new home or commercial space, there are a lot of moving parts to manage. From choosing furnishings and managing orders to making sure they all arrive on time, if you don’t have a dedicated person to keep track of everything, things can easily slip through the cracks!
That's what I'm here for. I assist Kori on all her residential and commercial interior design projects, processing and tracking orders and acting as the primary point of contact for order status inquiries and scheduling deliveries.
Thanks to my previous experience in facilitating operations and working with vendors to manage orders, you can trust that your home's decór, furnishings, wall art, and more are in safe hands with me!
I love to keep active and have even completed both full and half marathons in addition to triathlons and duathlons! I also enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends, traveling around the world, and exploring new places.
