It all begins with a complimentary 20-minute Discovery Call, where we get to know each other, explain your next steps, and get an initial understanding of your interior design needs, budget, and goals. If we both think we're a good fit for one another, we will then proceed with the project questionnaire.

It depends! The design creation, revisions, manufacturer lead times, contractor availability, etc., all impact the timeline. However, as your interior design project moves along, we can give a better idea of your timeline. What we can say for sure is that you’ll receive your initial design concept or floor plan within a week of signing an agreement and sending your payment. Design revisions will be completed within a week and sourcing products will take around 1-2 weeks per room.

For e-design clients, a directly shoppable list of products will be provided. It is customized to you and your needs in the space. For in-person full-service clients, the sourcing of product is done for you. A large portion of this interior design project with us is sourcing products that fit into the design we create for you. If you shop for products outside of the specified and agreed interior design, we will need to rework the space, which may incur an additional interior design fee. It's important to stay in communication about products and sourcing because I can get better discounts and deals for you through my vendor partnerships.

Good question! If you haven’t worked with an interior designer before, you might be wondering what the communication process is like. At Horizon Interior Design, we use an online tool called DesignFiles to communicate with you throughout the duration of your project. This intuitive tool allows you to access your interior design files to review and comment on and message us anytime. Please note that our working hours are Monday - Friday from 9-5. So if you message outside of these hours, we may not respond immediately.

Of course! We are happy to work with meaningful items as we want your home to reflect you and for you to feel comfortable whenever you are in it. I will need several pictures from all angles, as well as dimensions, of each item in order to incorporate them into the design. In your renderings I will do my best to match a mock-up product to yours in order to get the most authentic concept and design.
